Hello, my name is River. I’m a three year old female Border Collie. I arrived at The Mayhew when my owner’s relationship ended. I’m an obedient girl who is eager to please. I’m also super affectionate and although shy of new people it doesn’t take me long to make friends and I always enjoy a good belly rub! I’m now looking for a forever home with an active person or family, who have owned dogs before and have plenty of time on their hands to keep me both physically and mentally stimulated. I can live with children of ten years and upwards providing they are used to being around dogs and I can also live with another dog, provided they are the right match. I wouldn’t be suitable to live with cats.
My new owners will need to provide me with a minimum of one hours of active off lead exercise every day. They will also need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long term commitment involved in owning a dog, you’ll be taking on a twelve year commitment which must not be taken lightly.
