Bess is a five and a half year old female short haired red merle Collie. Bess is a female Border Collie who is just over five and a half years of age. She is seeking a foster home but would ideally love this become her adoptive home too if all went well. This girl was taken in to rescue from a pound along with her sister and was placed in emergency kennels so that she was at least safe. Sadly this was now a while ago and the lovely Bess is still in the kennels waiting for someone to give her a home where she can be loved, learn new things and explore the world more as Bess originally came in to us from a pound we know very little about her background.
We believe she was originally from a farm, not socialised a great deal and was used to living
outdoors. As far as we know she is a loving girl who is happy to be around people but would
be best suited to an adult only home or family with older children where she would be an
only dog. She is not currently house trained but please don’t let that put you off as we have
rehomed many ex-farm, outdoor living dogs who with patience, understanding and gradual
introductions have adapted well to life in a home setting.
Bess is currently living in South Wales, but can be transported through the UK (except
Northern Ireland).
