Sweet, kind Lady is a 10 year old female Border Collie who was picked up as a stray several weeks ago. She was in a very poor state, suffering severe mange and showing evidence of the latter stages of pregnancy in need of urgent attention. An emergency cesarean spay sadly delivered one deceased puppy.
Having undergone quite lengthy treatment for the mange Lady’s coat is beginning to grow back. She has a bit of arthritis which responded well to a course of treatment. It is likely she will need anti-inflammatories in the future. Lady has made good progress health wise since coming in to our care and we are now seeking a special home for her. She is quite quiet in the home and is more comfortable in the company of other dogs than people.
That is not to say she wont make a good companion. She enjoys attention and loves to be out and about, thoroughly enjoying her two walks a day. Due to being partially deaf she is not exercised off-lead other than in an enclosed area. Initially Lady suffered severe car sickness but this seems to be improving as she gets used to travelling. She has now received all the routine treatments and been microchipped and is ready and waiting for her forever home.
We are seeking a calm home with no small children and preferably with at least one other dog. Lady hasn’t been cat tested but has ignored any cats visiting her fosterer’s garden.
