Steve is a three year old male Tri colour Border Collie, who is looking for a new home. He is an affectionate lad, enjoys his exercise and belly rubs and has his basic training. The ideal home would be one where he could perhaps accompany someone to work, or where someone works from home as he is currently not keen to be left for long periods and in his previous home he did bark. This may be because he was allowed access to view the street from the windowsill when left and this is obviously very stimulating for him and with little else to do would be a normal outlet for a dog like Steve.
Collies do best in active homes where there is opportunity for mental stimulation too, so he doesn’t create his own (eg.barking at passers by!) He would likely enjoy agility, Rally O, Heelwork to music or other dog sports and games where he can use that fab collie brain and enjoy working co-operatively with his new person. Steve has lived with children age 5+, could potentially live with a bitch, not so great with male dogs (we will be neutering him as part of the adoption contract), vaccinated, worm/flea treated, will come with 6 weeks free pet insurance.
